english version below

State, World Market And The Reign of False Freedom

Release of the ‘Ums Ganze’ State-Brochure translated into English.

The German chapter of Beyond Europe, ..Ums Ganze is proud to finally release an English translation of its foundational ‘State Brochure’. The book was initially released in 2008 and was widely discussed in the German left, not without sparking some controversy. Updated with a cooperatively written foreword you can read it online here or order some printed copies to distribute them among your comrades or your local info-shop. To give a small preview from the foreword:

In this book we analyse basic structures and categories of the capitalist society. Everybody has certain ideas about ‘state, world market, law, or politics’. But it’s important to investigatge how these spheres correspond and interact to systemattically reproduce social domination exploitation and exclusionary collectivism. This is what we want to illustrate starting with the ele antary structure of burgeois-capitalist society. This structure didn’t emerge out of nowhere, and there is no master plan behind it but it does comprise a set of general principles.

[…]

We therefore want to stress that this book is not to be understood as a theoretical analysis only. It is also an offer for further debate and cooperation with groups and political initiatives fighting for empancipation of a society in disregard of fundamental human interest. Capitalism and its crises are already global, our resistance has to follow suit.

..Ums Ganze!
